Kythera has always been an ideal destination for sea and sun vacations. In the last few years , we have seen another type of tourism growing, people that love hiking and nature loved Kythera\u2019s walking paths. We witnessed the interest in hiking to grow over the years. There is a very simple explanation, Kythera and their physical environment is still untouched, and they offer so much variety when it comes to walking distances, that makes them a very interesting destination.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the last two years , taking into account the growing interest in hiking, Kytherians along with the support of the greek community of Sydney, started the opening of most of the old paths, and we are now in the position to present many different and interesting paths. In Filoxenes Katoikies we will be very happy to welcome and accomodate\u00a0all those that show great interest in hiking, to assist them in discovering the variety of the Kytherian landscape, to offer them a different accomodation each day in the case that they want to discover Kythera by foot and to provide them with Kytherian traditional products and homemade breakfast during their staying.<\/p>\n

It is well known to hikers that the best period for walking is definitely spring and autumn. However, even the winter, could be a very good period for walking, as Kythera position in the south part of Greece, has the advantage of a very mild winter.<\/p>\n
