The Old winery of Manolis has been created in 1878. The history of this traditional winery has been very rich, as it has been one of the many but still one of the most important wineries in the area of Kythera. According to Mr Giannis Defterevos the ancestor of Mr Manolis Defterevos, the winery in its earlier years was one of the most popular places in Kythera, as many people were going and visiting the workers at the time that they were processing the grapes. Nowadays, the old winery has been reconstructed and has been transformed into a small museum that you could visit and listen Mr Giannis to describe the old days and methods of Mr Manolis. You will have the chance to taste different wines such as Arikaras and Petroulanos and of course the liqueur of the island Fatourada.
